glorious releif – how it felt to be painting in the Söderåsen National Park again, but this time in summer. I have been going up to Villa Söderåsen to paint and collaborate with musician and producer Sebastian Mullaert since the winter of 2024. But this was the first time I had connected with the forest in the summer time.

I had identified a spot that I wanted to return to whilst walking in the forest with Sebastian a few months earlier. A little piece of flat-ish earth, beside a small stream, with a perfect tree for leaning my canvas on, deep in the forest, where I hardly saw another person over the 3 days that I was out there painting, singing, channeling the forest through my body.
